Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini will meet tomorrow with Vice Chairman of the Transitional National Council in Libya AliAl-Issawi. This came in a statement released by Italian Foreign Ministry which gave no details about the issues to be discussed by both sides. Frattini had a meeting with Al-Issawi in Rome on the fourth of April during which he announced Italy’s decision to recognize the Transitional National Council as the sole legitimate negotiator in Libya. During the same meeting Issawi endeavoured to reassure Italy that its companies, including the company the giant energy company ENI, will not be harassed by any future government to be formed by the Libyan opposition.
