
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Thursday received a phone call from Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi who stressed his country's full support and solidarity with Egypt after an EgyptAir plane coming from France to Cairo went missing earlier in the day.
The Italian premier voiced his country's readiness to send a plane to help with the search operations in the Mediterranean Sea.
For his part, President Sisi praised Renzi's stance, which reflects profound friendship binding Egypt and Italy.
Sisi also expressed appreciation for the stances of all friendly countries like Greece, France and Britain that are taking part in the ongoing search operations.
During the phone call, the two sides also asserted keenness to boost bilateral relations at all levels as well continue coordination and consultation over various regional and international issues.
