Italy: Ready to play role in Libya reconstruction

Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni said his country is ready to play a vital role in the reconstruction of Libya.

In statements released here on Saturday, Gentiloni said the Libya crisis is approaching the final phase of the negotiation tour, noting that this does not mean reaching to a positive outcome.

However, the Italian top diplomat said, all circumstances have become available for the conflicting parties to form a national unity government.

In case the Libyan parties reached a positive outcome, Italy is ready to play a key role in the reconstruction of Libya after the formation of a national unity government.

UN Support Mission in Libya under Leon Bernandino organized a new round of dialogue between Libya's political rivals in Morocco coastal city of Skhirat with the aim of reaching an agreement on forming a national unity government.
