Liberation and Development parliamentary bloc member MP Yassin Jabber said those who staged armed assaults on the Lebanese army are committing act of treason on the homeland. Denouncing the ambush against the army in Arsal, Jabber said that army is the shield and fence of the country, calling on the authorities to pursue, try and penalize all the murderers. "We should not show any leniency with the culprits because they committed a crime against the nations by attacking the Lebanese army," Jabber said. The MP stressed that the Lebanese army is a red line. Jabber added that the army is the manifestation of national unity and for this reason all the Lebanese should rally behind it. He refused all attempts to turn the army into a scapegoat or allow any region in Lebanon to be off limit for the authorities and the security forces. Jabber gave his deep condolences to the families and relatives of the martyrs.
