
Leader of the Iraqi National Alliance (INA), Ibrahim al-Jafari, stressed that INA calls on all blocs to speed up choosing security ministers. Jafari's statement came during his meeting on Thursday evening, Aug. 2, with Georgi Boston, the Assistant of Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Iraq, In a statement to the press, Jafari's Media Bureau said that in the meeting, the two discussed security situation and the issue of repeated prisoners' break out. The statement went of saying that Jafari said that the INA calls on all political blocs to speed up choosing security ministers to face up the situation of security deterioration, stressing the necessity for the UN to play a larger role in helping Iraq fight terrorist attacks. For his part, Boston asserted that the United Nations seeks to bring together the views of various political forces and help Iraq overcome obstacles hindering its progress.
