Jamal Abdulnasser Street junction to open on Friday in Kuwait

The Ministry of Public Works (MoPW) announced Tuesday it would open a new junction between Jamal Abdulnasser Street's intersection with Al-Ghazali Motorway and the main Kuwait University campus roundabout. The new layout of the roads will be open to the public as of early Friday, the ministry said in a press release. A technical team from the traffic engineering division of the General Department of Traffic has inspected the site to verify that safety measures are in place before the opening of the new road, the statement pointed out. The MoPW called on motorists to abide by the traffic rules, particularly speed limits, for their own safety. The new layout of Jamal Abdulnasser St. is one of the major infrastructure projects and the MoPW has been committed to a strategic plan for modernizing and upgrading the national road network while maintaining international standards.
