Japan’s emperor meets Bahraini crown prince

Japan’s Emperor Akihito met Thursday with Crown Prince of Bahrain Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who is currently visiting Tokyo. During the meeting, they discussed relations between the two countries and a number of issues of common interest. The Crown Prince of Bahrain had earlier met with his Japanese counterpart Naruhito to discuss ways to develop bilateral relations. Prince Salman also met with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe of Japan, who expressed Japan’s aspiration to further cooperation with Bahrain in the areas of oil, gas, and satellites.
