Jisr: We refuse to suspend constitutional deadlines

Future" bloc member Deputy Samir Jisr told "Fajr" radio on Monday that his bloc refused any proposal to suspend the constitutional deadlines regarding the election issue. Suspending deadlines will disrupt the 1960 law and this will make the country face a new problem," the MP added. Jisr said, "There is a law in force which should be applied," adding that "the only way is to extend the period of nominations not to suspend it until agreement is reached, whether to have elections based on 1960 law or to agree on a new electoral law."
