The security forces in Basra have arrested a number of wanted men on terrorist and criminal charges, including foreigners, in different parts of the province. A source in the Basra Operations Command told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / that "The joint force of army and police, during raid and search operations carried out in different parts of the province, have captured / 87 / wanted men on different issues, including six wanted in accordance with Article / 4 / terror / 16 / foreigners belonging to different nationalities for exceeding the legal length of stay granted to them. He added "the security services relating to the command of the Basra Operations carried out similar crackdowns in different areas of the province aimed to arrest the wanted men according to court warrants " in addition to "control the security in the whole province."
