Jordan has reiterated its support and backing of Iraq's hosting of the Arab Summit and is keen on its success to boost joint Arab action and Arab unity. This came as King Abdullah II of Jordan late Sunday received an invitation from Iraqi President Jalal Talabani for the Arab Summit due to be held in Baghdad in late March. The invitation has been handed over by Talabani's envoy, Iraqi Minister of Planning Ali Shukri. The King expressed Jordan's full support of any effort to bolster Iraq's security and stability, according to a statement issued by the Royal Court on Monday. The meeting also dealt with means of enhancing Jordanian-Iraqi ties, particularly in economic fields.
