Jordan will not accept to any peace proposal, ignoring Palestinian refugees rights

Jordanian Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour reiterated on Tuesday that Jordan will not accept peace proposal that ignores rights of return and compensation to Palestinian refugees.The prime minister said the Kingdom is up-to-date on all details of U.S. Secretary of State's tours in the region and the ongoing negotiations between the Palestinians and Israelis to solve the Palestinian issue.Until now, Ensour told lawmakers, there are no "mysterious secrets" in the Palestinian-Israeli talks as the "Palestinian brethren keep us informed on all details, so there is nothing to fear." The premier was responding to MP's who expressed concerns over the going negotiations and if there might be surprises to Jordan such as what happened when the Oslo agreements were signed.He made it clear that Jordanians of Palestinian origin have rights in Palestine and "must remain in their hands and the Jordanian Kingdom will work with them to secure them these rights.Ensour added Jordan only recognizes the 1967 borders, a minimum which is supported by Jordan as a right of the Palestinians in the negotiations with Israel and other phrases and expressions on the status of city are deemed illegal by Jordan."Our position is that East Jerusalem is an occupied territory and must be the capital of a Palestinian state and Jordan will not accept any formula that changes the status of Jerusalem," he said.Prime Minister Ensour also stressed that Jordan will not accept deployment on any foreign forces on its territories as a part of any future peace deal between Israelis and Palestinian negotiators.
