Jordanian Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh on Thursday conferred with Simon Fraser, the Permanent Under-Secretary and Head of the Diplomatic Service at the British Foreign Office , now visiting Jordan on Jordanian-British ties as well as the latest developments in the Middle East, mainly the peace process. During the meeting , Judeh underlined his country''s due keenness to continue efforts to salvage the peace process and ensure the resumption of negotiations between the Palestinians and Israelis leading to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital. For his part, the British official hailed efforts of His Majesty to prevent tension and violence in the region and bring about peace and stability in the Middle East. Simon Fraser also highlighted the importance of the reform process in the Kingdom, stressing his country''s support to these reforms
