King Abdullah II of Jordan asserted Tuesday deep-rooted ties with the United Arab Emirates (UAE). King Abdullah made the remarks during a meeting with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of UAE's Armed Forces, Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al-Nuhayyan. The monarch appreciated UAE's support to Jordan which would thus boost strategic partnership between Amman and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), an official statement said. Sheikh Mohammad highly appreciated Jordan's efforts to housing tens of thousands of Syrian refugees. The UAE has set up a field hospital to provide medical care for the Syrian refugees in Zaatari camp.
