
Jordanian Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour on Monday met with Chairman of the Omani State Council Yahya bin Mahfoudh al Manthri who is currently on a visit to Amman. During the meeting, the two sides reviewed bilateral ties, developments in Syria as well as the U.S.-sponsored peace negotiations on the Palestinian issue. Ensour pointed to the many similarities between the political systems in Jordan and Oman, and praised progress achieved by Oman in various fields. The Omani official, who started Sunday a mutli-day official visit, voiced his keenness to forge closer ties with Jordan in the different fields, state news agency (Petra) reported.
