
Senate President Abdel Raou'f Rawabdeh Wednesday received Czech President Milos Zeman and the accompanying delegation.
Rawabdeh and Zeman held an expanded meeting attended by a number of Senators, where they discussed bilateral ties and ways to boost them in various fields, in particular the parliamentary sphere.
The Senate president praised the role played by Czech within the framework of the European Union to bring about peace and stability in the Middle East.
Rawabdeh said that Jordan continues to confront terrorism which undermines Islam as well as to fight the Daesh terrorist group, noting that the Kingdom will not participate in a ground war.
Zeman expressed his county's desire to promote and sustain cooperation with Jordan to reach a real partnership between both countries, voicing solidarity with the Kingdom in fighting against terrorism.
The meeting also reviewed the Palestinian issue, with the two sides stressing the need to reach the two-state solution through negotiations.
