
Jordanian King Abdullah II on Tuesday discussed with US House Armed Services Committee delegation, led by MP Joe Wilson, Jordanian-US ties and ways to boost cooperation in various fields.
The meeting tackled a number of issues, foremost of which are international efforts in the fight against terrorist organizations and extremist ideology and ways to deal with these threats to preserve the security and stability of the region, according to a statement issued by the Royal Hashemite Court.
The king voiced appreciation for Washington's support of Jordan and its Armed Forces.
The committee's members highlighted Jordan's pivotal role in fighting terrorism and extremism, stressing their support to the Kingdom and to enhancing Jordan's ability to cope with various challenges.
