Jordan’s Parliament Speaker Saad Hayel Srour has underlined the significance of the Arab summit, which will be held in Doha on Tuesday and Wednesday.Speaking in an exclusive interview with Qatar News Agency(QNA) on Saturday , Srour hailed the role of Qatar in solving Arab issues, supporting the Palestinian people, recosntruction efforts in several countries, in additio to backing development programs settling disputes in countries with tensions.He expressed hope there will be a united Arab stance in the Doha summit with regards to all the Arab issues, especially the Palestinian issue, in order to reach a just solution that preserves the rights of the Palestinian people and sticks to national principles.The Jordanian official said he believes the summit will be successful, especially in terms of finding a political solution to the escalating violence in Syria so as to stop the bloodshed and preserve the unity of the Syrian land and people especially, noting that the Doha summit is the first after changes in the region over the past two years.He added that Jordan and Qatar, through the directives of their leaders, are keen to support the different Arab and Islamic issues and to coordinate their stances in regional and international meetings and events.Srour commended the deep relations and joint work between Jordan and Qatar thanks to the keenness of their leaders to deepen and develop bilateral ties to better serve the interests of the two countries.
