Interior Minister of the deposed Palestinian government Fathi Hammad on Wednesday lauded the Jordanian leadership, government and people for their support and efforts to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people, especially in Gaza Strip. During a visit to Jordan’s field hospital in the coastal enclave with officials and heads of security departments in the strip, Hamad commended services presented by the hospital, which has been providing treatment for Gazans since four years. The field hospital was deployed in Gaza in January 2009 upon His Majesty King Abdullah’s directives to mitigate the suffering of Palestinians following Israel’s offensive on the coastal enclave. Director of the hospital Khaldoun Shammari said the hospital provided medical care for more than 600 people during the recent Israeli offensive. He noted King Abdullah's directives to supply the hospital with needed drugs and equipment.
