Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh on Monday discussed with Arab League Secretary General Nabil El Araby regional developments. They exchanged talks on the Palestinian issue and the related international efforts at the UN General Assembly. Araby briefed Judeh on the outcome of his Cairo discussions with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and the Arab League-UN special envoy to Syria Lakhdar Brahimi the day before. Judeh reiterated Jordan’s position that seeks a political solution in Syria that would stop bloodshed and strengthen its unity. The foreign minister shared the consequences of the humanitarian crisis on Jordan due to receiving an increasing number of Syrian refugees, in addition to offering services to them in spite of the deteriorating economic situation.
