"Change and Reform" bloc member Deputy Ibrahim Kanaan urged need to put the Orthodox bill to vote at the General Assembly, pointing out that his bloc is ready to discuss any draft based on equality. "It is necessary to resort to the General Assembly to vote on Orthodox bill if it passed that's fine; if not issues would be reassessed " the MP told "Free Lebanon" radio on Tuesday. Kanaan reiterated that fair representation would not be met if not based on parity, demanding in this context to implement the constitution. He stressed that they won't agree on any law which does not secure having 64 deputies for Christians. "We won't offer concessions anymore and we insist on a law that provides fair representation," the MP asserted.
