Kerry arrives to Kabul on unannounced visit

US State Secretary John Kerry has payed an unannounced visit to Kabul on Friday to meet with Afghanistan’s President Hamid Karzai. According to Al-Arabiya TV channel, the talks will focus on the signing of a bilateral security agreement. Presumably, this document would cover the presence of US troops in Afghanistan after 2014. The withdrawal of major foreign troops from Afghanistan, which currently amount to 87 thousand servicemen, is expected to be finalized before the end of 2014.
