United States Secretary of State John Kerry said that Turkey will be a "constructive player" at the Middle East peace process, on the Syrian issue, Nagorno-Karabakh and the Cyprus issue. Kerry, who spoke and answered questions at the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the U.S. House of Representatives said, "[Turkey] made commitment to supporting the Middle East peace process and the Syrian issue. They discussed with us for assistance on the Nagorno-Karabakh and Cyprus issues. I think that Turkey is a constructive player on these issues." Kerry also said that he believes that the Turkish-Israeli relations will go on without any interruption and added that he has a good working relationship with Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu.
