Kerry warns against Mideast peace talks failure

US Secretary of State John Kerry Saturday warned against failure of negotiations between Israelis and Palestinians because the consequences would "not be acceptable." The consequences of the failure of negotiations "will not be acceptable to us" because the US has a great interest in the success of efforts to ending the conflict, Kerry said in a speech before the Munich Security Conference (MSC).Kerry said he did not want to express optimism over the success of negotiations but underlined that the US administration was determined to find a solution for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.He said the agreement between the Israelis and Palestinians would change the situation in the Middle East dramatically "which will help Israel open new markets." Meanwhile, around 5,000 people staged a demonstrations outside the venue of the MSC, which was held amidst tight security measures. The demonstrators were carrying signs that called for the end of wars and seeking peaceful means to solving armed conflicts and crises.They accused those attending the conference of using what they considered excessive use of forces to ending conflicts. The MSC opened yesterday featuring participation of more than 20 heads of state and government, and over 50 foreign and defense ministers.
