Khatib to lead Syria opposition coalition delegation in Doha summit

A delegation led by Ahmed Moaz al-Khatib from the opposition Syrian National Coalition will partake in a Doha-hosted Arab summit that will kick off on Tuesday, MENA has learnt. The Syrian team will include also the head of the interim Syrian opposition government Hassan Hitto, a diplomatic source told MENA. Khatib announced resignation from the SNC on Sunday writing on Facebook that world powers had failed to help the rebels and he could only improve the situation by working outside of the coalition.
