
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has discussed, in a telephone conversation with Egypt’s Foreign Minister Nabil Fahmi, the cooperation relations between the UN and Egypt and the current Situation in the country. Spokesman for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, Badr Abdulati, said that Ki-moon expressed confidence that Egypt will handle the recent developments wisely and will respect human rights a pursue the adoption of an integrated political process that involves all the concerned parties. The spokesman added that Fahmi affirmed that Egypt believes in the UN’s role and that it is looking forwards to further cooperation with the international organization. During the contact, Fahmi explained to the Secretary-General the internal developments in Egypt reiterating the government’s insistence on the road map and involving all the parties in the political process.
