His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa today received a cable from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, expressed his pride on being appointed as First Deputy Premier for the Development of the Performance of the Executive Authority's Bodies. "It is with great honour that I receive the royal assignment from Your Majesty, appointing me as the First Deputy Prime Minister. From this post, I shall continue to serve and implement this role in the manner in which Your Majesty has guided and prepared me ; that every mission we perform is a form of obedience to Allah, loyalty to Your Majesty and service to our beloved country and its noble people." "Your Majesty, I pledge that I shall remain committed to working towards the further growth of this nation and the maintenance of its security and stability, to dedicate all my effort to being effective in assisting Your Majesty, and supporting His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister". "The Kingdom of Bahrain has taken significant, historic strides during the reign of Your Majesty. The approach of reform that you have endorsed has reflected a true will for progress and democracy; reinforcing equal opportunities, and emphasising economic growth and stability. This has been done in order to serve the citizens of Bahrain and to ensure that the Kingdom of Bahrain remains a safe, open and welcoming place for residents, visitors, and commerce". "Over a decade ago, Your Majesty laid down the foundations for enhancing tolerance, building consensus, and promoting inclusiveness. During the last two years our kingdom has witnessed events that no person wished to see. I vow to continue the work, alongside all the loyal people of this nation, to ensure that this nation’s future remains determined on endorsing diversity, democracy and respect of human rights and principles of citizenship, rights and responsibilities with no discrimination.
