
King Mohammed VI reiterated, at the end of the state visit to Bamako, Morocco’s continuous concern over the preservation of Mali’s territorial unity and stability. The Moroccan monarch also stressed the need to contribute to a solution and a compromise that enable to fight against fundamentalist and terrorist movements that threaten both the Maghreb countries, the Sahel and the Sahara. The King assured the president of Mali Ibrahim Boubacar Keita of the support of Morocco for the implementation of the Plan for Mali’s Sustainable Recovery (PRED), supported by the international community at a Conference in Brussels dated May 15, 2013, and in which Morocco is a member of the Monitoring Committee.
