UN Special Representative for Libya Martin Kobler on Sunday expressed appreciation for Egypt's continuous cooperation to settle the Libyan crisis.
In statements to MENA, ahead of leaving Cairo, the UN envoy reiterated calls for comprehensive dialogue among Libyan rivals.
Kobler described as "constructive" his talks, which was held in Cairo on Saturday, with officials at the Egyptian Foreign Ministry and Chairman of the Presidential Council of Libya Fayez al Sarraj.
He further underscored the right of the Libyans to decide their country's future in light of neighboring countries' - atop which is Egypt - rule on this score.
UNSMIL efforts in Libya comes within the framework of the UNSC-mandated resolution 2259, Kobler said, adding that he will take part next week in a ministerial meeting on Libya.
