Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zeljko Komsic welcomed the UN Resolution on the exemption and the destruction of the chemical weapons arsenal in Syria, adopted by the UN Security Council. "Chairman Komsic expects from the Syrian authorities to comply with the Agreement on the handover of the chemical weapons arsenal and accede to the International Convention on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. He noted that he believes that this step can prevent new innocent casualties and give a chance to the peaceful solution of the conflict, in accordance with the international law," said a statement from the office of the Chairman of BiH presidency. Chairman Komsic pointed out that Bosnia and Herzegovina supported the active involvement of the institutions of the United Nations and the Security Council in its efforts to stop the conflict and achieve the peace in Syria.
