
Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) launched an Iftar banquet program in Tripoli, northern Lebanon, the first banquet held for 300 orphans, as part of its Iftar project aiming to serve those in need and Syrian refugees in Lebanon. The program includes Iftar banquets for five consecutive days in Tripoli, and the society also distributed 1,000 Ramadan meals to Lebanese families as part of its Ramadan season activities, KRCS representative in Lebanon Dr. Musaed Al-Enizi told KUNA. Al-Enizi said KRCS Chairman Barjas Al-Barjas had ordered an increase in relief supplies for Syrian refugees during the holy month, an addition of 20, 000 meals within the Iftar project. The Kuwait Red Crescent Society is to continue its Ramadan services and Iftar programs in Lebanon to cater to Syrian refugees in Al-Biqaa and other areas in northern and southern Lebanon, and it is hoped the Iftar banquets would serve over 35,000 refugee.
