
Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) said Monday that the fire at construction building at Sabah Al-Salem University City in Al-Shadadiyah, was now extinguished and noted that investigation has started. KFSD said, in a statement, that the fire did spread to 10,000 square-meters due to high winds which also reached nearby buildings. The statement added that inspection operations started and an investigation into the reasons behind the fire is underway which will be followed by a detailed report on the incident. The statement added that no firefighters were injured at the scene of the fire. KFSD added that three firefighters were injured when their vehicle heading to the fire scene overturned, noting that they were transferred to nearby hospital.
