
Albanian Minister of Agriculture, Food, and Consumer Protection Edmond Panariti welcomed on Friday the possibility of signing a bilateral agreement between his country and Kuwait to expand common cooperation in the agricultural field. Also, Panariti asserted, while receiving Kuwaiti Ambassador to Albania Najib Abdulrahman Al-Bader at the ministry in Tirana, the importance of boosting joint agricultural cooperation between the two countries to positively reflect the distinctive Kuwaiti-Albanian ties, and to serve their common interests. At the same time, the Albanian minister indicated that signing such an agreement would open futuristic cooperation prospects between the two countries, specifically in commercial and agricultural exchange fields, which contributes in exchange of experiences and human resources between the two sides. In addition, he praised the numerous Kuwaiti projects in his country such as transportation, irrigation, and sanitation via financing of Kuwait Fund For Arab Economic Development (KFAED), which aim at development of the agricultural sector and improvement of economic and social level. For his part, Ambassador Al-Bader stated to KUNA that he discussed with the Albanian minister a number of issues concerning agricultural cooperation in light of distinctive relations between both countries in all areas, and in a way that attains common goals and ambitions. Also, Al-Bader noted that they discussed finding an appropriate procedure to encourage agricultural cooperation, as well as investments in various agricultural projects that serve sustainable agricultural development between Kuwait and Albania.
