
Kuwait Ambassador to Sudan Talal Mansour Al-Hajeri launched on Monday a humanitarian aid convoy from the Kuwaiti social reform society for the South Sudanese refugees in Sudan's White Nile State.The convoy carries some 20 tons of various foodstuffs to be distributed among the refugees, Al-Hajeri said in a statement to KUNA."The Kuwaiti government and people will continue the relief effort for the refugees who fled the conflict in South Sudan and other needy people around the globe," he affirmed. Meanwhile, Azhari Abdulqader, Secretary General of the care and reform society, which supervises the convoy, said the convoy will be followed by other assistance to the refugees in the State of White Nile.He thanked the generous people of Kuwait who contributed to the relief efforts to the South Sudanese people, appreciating the role of Sudan's Humanitarian Aid Commission (HAC) in delivering the aid to the refugees in border areas between Sudan and South Sudan.
