National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim praised on Tuesday ties between Kuwait and Turkey, which he said were witnessing rapid improvements, while congratulating Turkey on its independent day. Al-Ghanim made his remarks on the sideline of a ceremony held by Turkey's Embassy in Kuwait marking the independent day occasion, noting that such relations between the two countries witnessed an apparent improvement, particularly after recent approval by Kuwait and Turkey to exempt visa requirements to citizens of both countries. Among other concrete steps toward bilateral relations was the volume of Kuwaiti investments in Turkey, Al-Ghanim added. In response to a question about the exact date of Arab Parliamentary Jerusalem conference, which he called, Al-Ghanim said "no specific date has been set but it will be in January next year."
