
His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah lauded here Wednesday the proceeding of the Second Kuwait Pledging Conference for Syria, hoping that the event would help in supporting humanitarian efforts for the Syrians. Speaking to the press on the sideline of the conference, Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak hoped that the conference would meet the needs of Syrian refugees and displaced, lauding that His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for his initiative to host the conference. Kuwait pledged USD 500 million to help in relief aid efforts for Syrian refugees. The conference aims at gathering USD 6.5 billion
