Kuwait, Russia mark 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties

Russia and Kuwait celebrated on Monday the occasion of the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries. Kuwait Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah exchanged cables of congratulations with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, the foreign ministry said in a statement, indicating that Lavrov affirmed his country's readiness to improve traditional friendship relations with Kuwait. Also, the two sides affirmed their desire to improve bilateral cooperation in various fields, as well as strengthen joint cooperation on regional and international arenas, noted the statement.
