
Zakat House Director General Ibrahim Al-Saleh said on Tuesday that the house has received the first batch of donations to be used to build houses and purchase meals for the Syrian refugees. The Zakat House began receiving cash donations from philanthropists to buy meals and will begin distributing them on a daily basis to Syrian refugee to ease their suffering caused by extreme cold conditions, Al-Saleh said in a statement. The official added that the house received KD 50,000 from Najeeb Al-Mulla which will be used to build housting units the families. Half of the sum would be used for medical treatment purposes. Al-Saleh thanked those who provided such generous donations.
