Large-scale Cambodian youth delegation to visit China

President of Cambodian Union of Youth Federations Hun Many will lead a 100-member youth delegation to visit China from June 21 to 25 to deepen youth-to-youth relations between the two countries.

Speaking at a reception hosted by the Chinese Embassy to Cambodia on Saturday evening, Hun Many, who is Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen's youngest son, said the delegation would depart Cambodia on Sunday for a five-day trip to China.

"This is the second time that the large scale Cambodian youth delegation is offered an opportunity to visit China under the initiative of the leaders of the two countries," he said.

He added that the visit would be very useful for Cambodian youths to explore Chinese progress and its richness in culture and traditions.

"The visit will contribute to further enhancing people-to- people relations, especially youth-to-youth ties between the two countries," said Hun Many, who is also a lawmaker. "As the youths of Cambodia, we will do our best to continue strengthening traditional ties for the interests of the two countries and peoples."

Chinese Ambassador Bu Jianguo said the delegation's visit to China would deepen relations, dialogues, and mutual sentiment between youths of the two countries.

"Mutual understanding between youths and youths will significantly contribute to further broadening relations between the two countries in the future," she said at the reception, which was specially organized for the delegation prior to their departure.

"I'm confident that through the visit, you all will better learn about China and will leave the friendly and faithful sentiment of Cambodian people in China and bring the friendly and sincere sentiment of Chinese people back to Cambodia," the ambassador said.
