Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani called on his counterparts worldwide to adopt firm measures against declaration of the Holy al-Qods as the Zionist regime's capital by Israeli Knesset. In a message on Tuesday, he requested speakers of world parliaments to voice objection to the Zionist regime’s decision. Commenting on the history of the occupied Palestine, Larijani stressed that due to its barbaric nature, the criminal regime has always tried to get the most out of every opportunity to impose its inhuman policies on the oppressed Palestinians. The continuous aggressions of Zionists on the Islamic and Christian holy places as well as the defenseless Palestinians, which have always faced with silence of the international communities, encouraged the Knesset to consider the draft plan of adoption of the Holy al-Qods as the unified capital of Judaism. The speaker further stressed that Iran strongly condemned the draft plan declaring the holy city as the capital of the “Zionist State”. Pointing to the decades-long resistance of the Palestinian nation against the Zionist regime, Larijani underscored the need for the world parliaments to take resolute acts in opposition to the Zionist regime’s parliament. He reiterated that it was the duty of all countries to support the rightful demand of the oppressed Palestinians.
