Larijani sends Nowruz message to counterparts

Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani in a message on Sunday congratulated his counterparts in 11 countries on the occasion of Nowruz Feast, March 20, starting Iranian New Year. In his message to his Azeri, Armenian, Afghan, Pakistani, Tajik, Turkmen, Turkish, Kyrgyz, Kazakh, Georgian and Indian counterparts, Larijani wished success and prosperity during the New Year. Larijani stressed that Nowruz is a symbol of rich culture and civilization of god-seeking people who have been living together brotherly and peacefully. International Nowruz Day was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in its resolution in 2010 at the initiative of several countries that share this holiday - Afghanistan, Albania, Azerbaijan, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, India, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkey, and Turkmenistan.
