Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will meet with the foreign ministers from a number of countries that belong to the League of Arab States in Moscow on February 26, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.
"The third session of the Russian-Arab Cooperation Forum, at the level of foreign ministers, will take place in Moscow on February 26," Zakharova said at a press briefing on Thursday according to Interfax news agency.
"The foreign policy chiefs of the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, and Bahrain are expected to arrive to take part in this event, in keeping with the format stipulated by the memorandum on the forum's establishment signed in December 2009," Zakharova said.
"This is the so-called 'troika' of the Arab League Council," she said.
The foreign minister of Egypt will also be visiting Moscow, as the country holding Arab League chairmanship, and the foreign ministers of Lebanon, Sudan, Yemen and Oman, she said.
