Lebanese hurt as Syrian helicopter raids Arsal outskirts

One Lebanese citizen was wounded last night after a Syrian military helicopter fired four missiles at an area in the outskirts of the Bekaa border town of Arsal.Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA) reported that a Syrian helicopter waged a strike on the Wadi Ajram area in Arsal’s outskirts.Four missiles were fired at “a convoy of cars carrying gunmen,” NNA said.The raid was the latest in a string of cross-border strikes against Arsal. On January 17, shells rained down on the town, killing eight people, including five children.A December air raid prompted the Lebanese Army to fire back with anti-aircraft guns.Earlier on Tuesday, five rockets struck several Bekaa towns, causing no casualties. Al-Manar television said the rockets were fired from Arsal’s outskirts.
