Lebanese President Michel Suleiman condemned on Wednesday the "premeditated Israeli negligence of the situation of prisoners in Israeli jails," after a Palestinian prisoner died of cancer at an Israeli hospital on Tuesday.Suleiman slammed Israeli officials for neglecting humanitarian and social issues of prisoners, urging the international community to press Israel to respect international treaties on prisoners' rights, said a statement released by Lebanon's presidency"Israel, which fights unarmed Palestinians with warplanes and tanks, is refraining from providing care for sick prisoners," the statement read.Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas blamed the government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for the death of Maisara Abu Hamdiyeh, 64, on Tuesday.
