Lebanese troops have disseminated Tuesday morning in Syria Street which separates Bab al-Tabbaneh from Jabal Mohsen, after the engineering regiment swept the area from undetonated bombs. The deployment came after days of clashes that claimed the lives of at least 7 people, including a Lebanese Army soldier, between the Alawite and Sunni sects. Almost 100 others have also been wounded in the fighting. A state of cautious calm engulfed the northern capital Tripoli, interrupted every now and then by random gunshots amid Lebanese troop presence, Lebanon's national news agency (NNA) said.
