The leftist New People's Army (NPA) has released two daughters of a soldier whom they kidnapped in southern Philippines, a military official said Monday. Lt. Col. Lyndon Paniza, spokesman of the Philippine army's 10th Infantry Division, said a tribal leader identified as Datu Domingo negotiated for the release of the victims. The kidnap victims were identified as 12-year-old Mira Luna Misaluon and her elder sister, 17-year-old Mona Liza. Paniza said the victims were taken to a military detachment in Mandalingan village in Kapalong town, Davao del Norte. The two were seized by the leftist rebels in Kapalong town Sunday morning.
