A delegation from Libya's rebel National Transitional Council visited the city of Zintan on Tuesday in a show of solidarity with an offensive against loyalist troops in the west of the country. "We came here to show that the NTC and the rest of Libya support the courageous men and women of Zintan," epicentre of an assault from the Nefusa mountains, southwest of Tripoli, finance and oil minister Ali Tarhuni told AFP. Tarhuni, accompanied by the health and communication ministers, travelled to Zenten from the eastern Libyan rebel capital of Benghazi, "to give its support ... a certain amount of money for salaries" and for help on fuel supplies. "We can feel victory is coming here," he said. "Historically, the liberation of Tripoli has always come from the Nefusa mountains, and the mountains are free now."
