President of Libya's General National Congress Dr. Mohammed Yussef Al-Magariaf met on Tuesday with the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Malta Tonio Borg, who is currently visiting Tripoli. The Libyan news agency reported that the Maltese official, during the meeting, reiterated his country's desire in strengthening and developing its relations with Libya in various fields to achieve the common interest of the two countries. He also invited Dr. Magariaf to the Five plus Five summit for Heads of State and Government scheduled on 5-6 October in Malta. The Group Five plus Five includes five European countries Spain, France, Italy, Portugal and Malta in addition to the five Maghreb Union countries, namely Algeria, Libya, Tunisia, Morocco and Mauritania.
