Libyan Interim Prime Minister Ali Zeidan received Friday a phone call from Egypt’s Defense Minister Field Marshall Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.El-Sisi expressed the support of Egypt’s government and people for Libya to pass the current phase, stressing that Egypt would not tolerate any side that targets Libya’s security and safety, state news agency LANA reported. The communication took place to check on conditions in Tripoli in the wake of media reports about military movements to undermine Libya’s legitimacy, LANA added. For his part, Zeidan said the situation is stable in his country, adding that what has been reported is only a desperate attempt to turn the Libyan people away from achieving their objectives of freedom, democracy and a peaceful power transition.
