A demonstration, in support for the Palestinian struggle, will take place this Saturday, 12 May, outside Downing Street, in London. The demonstration, called: "Remember the Nakba, End Israel’s Ethnic Cleansing Now!" will take place from 1-3pm in support of the Palestinian prisoners, who are on hunger strike in Israeli jails. Speakers will include: PSC Chair Hugh Lanning, MP Andy Slaughter, singer/poet Melissa Melodee, Rev Garth Hewitt, Diana Neslen from Jews for Justice for Palestinians, Palestinian academic Karma Nabulsi, Baroness Jenny Tonge and the Ambassador for Palestine in the UK, Professor Manuel Hassassian. The event will be organised by Palestine Solidarity Campaign, Friends of Al-Aqsa, British Muslim Initiative, Palestinian Forum for Britain and the Stop the War Coalition. It will also be supported by: Architects and Planners for Justice in Palestine (APJP), CAABU, CND, CWU, FBU, Green Party, GUPS UK, Haldane Society of Socialist Lawyers, ICAHD UK, Lawyers for Palestinian Human Rights, Liberal Democrat Friends of Palestine,Viva Palestina, War on Want and Zaytoun.
