Moscow has not received any official notification from London on the creation of a 'Magnitsky list'. This was stated today by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov after bilateral talks with Romanian counterpart Titus Corlatean. The Minister said that at a meeting with EU ambassadors on Monday, 'this issue was not discussed.' "After that meeting I saw on our newswires messages citing some British newspaper that mentions such list", added Lavrov. "But we didn't get any official notification from the authorities of the UK on this issue." "Moreover, the authorities of the United Kingdom have repeatedly stressed that they aren't going to introduce any such lists", said the minister. "Therefore, I don't rule out that it could be a provocation, because currently in the european and global media space there is a lot of hot topics, from which, perhaps, some people are trying to divert public attention," Lavrov said.
